Welcome to the World Baby Timothy!

Timothy was born on August 31st at 8:46 pm!  I know he's almost 3 weeks old and I haven't updated my blog.  My defense is that I'm a sleep deprived new Mommy. One of the things we've discovered about Timothy is that his internal feeding clock doesn't stop just because it's nighttime.  This little man eats every 3 hours on the dot!

Needless to say, things have been a bit hectic around the Smith house.  Nicholas is an awesome big brother.  He is very interested in Timothy and loves to be helpful...sometimes too helpful.  For instance, the other morning in the kitchen I was washing bottles, Nicholas was eating, and Timothy was in his little seat...or so I thought.  I turn around and Nicholas is cramming waffles into Timothy's mouth!  Nicholas claims Timothy was just hungry!  So we had a huge discussion about how babies only drink milk and can't eat people food because they have no teeth.  Hopefully this little talk sank in!

I can't take my eyes off these two kiddos!  Bottom line, I am so blessed and wouldn't change anything for the whole world!

Come on out baby Timothy!

I had my 37th week doctor's appointment today!  Timothy is now full term and ready to make his appearance. I won't TMI you with any gory details, however, my doctor believes he will arrive any day now.  We are all super excited.  Perhaps no one more so than Nicholas.  He is asking me no less than 5 million Timothy questions a day.  He goes into the baby's room and plays with the toys, sits in the baby car seat, rocks in the chair, and generally creates big messes for Mommy to clean up!  Hopefully, my next blog post will be titled Welcome to the World Timothy. We are truly blessed! Please keep us in your prayers.

Buzz and Woody

Around the Smith house it is Toy Story talk all the time!  Nicholas loved the movie and loves to play with his "Buzz and Woody" toys even more.  The other night at dinner he announced that "I am going to be Woody for Halloween and Timothy has to be Buzz Lightyear"!  It was really funny because Halloween is months away and who knows why he was thinking about costumes over dinner?  Anyway, being the loving Mommy that I am,  I actually ordered Nicholas' Woody costume and (sigh) Timothy's baby Buzz Lightyear costume the next day.  I can't believe I'm going to dress up my little newborn as Buzz!  The costumes haven't come in yet, but Nicholas is anxiously waiting on the Post Lady everyday to see if she brings them!  In the meantime, he is improvising as you can see from the pictures!

We have a little over 8 weeks till Timothy arrives.  We've finally got the nursery finished (pics to come soon)!  All that's missing is the baby!  So the countdown begins! Baby Buzz Lightyear is on the way.  To infinity and beyond into the world of boys. I'm probably not prepared for this :)

Just Waiting on Baby....

There's not much going on with the Smith's these days.  We are just waiting on baby Timothy!  We only have 11 more weeks to wait before we can see his sweet face and hold him.  Last Tuesday we went for an ultrasound in Oklahoma City.  It was really neat to see him moving around in 4D.  He didn't want to move his hand from his face so the pictures didn't turn out as great as I'd hoped. But, it was really funny because during the ultrasound Jonathan and I looked at each and said almost at the exact moment "He looks so much like Nicholas"!  We'll see if this holds true, but he definitely has Nicholas' little nose and chin.

Speaking of Nicholas, we took him to his first movie last night.  We saw Toy Story 3.  He loved every minute of it and kept his glasses on the whole time.  It just shows you how fast he is growing up.  I'm sure he wouldn't have sat through the whole movie 6 months ago. He is learning new things everyday and it's really exciting to see him so proud of himself when he accomplishes something new.  In his pool the other day I taught him to blow bubbles under water.  He thought he was Mr. Big Fish after that!

Jonathan just went to get paint supplies for Timothy's room.  I will post nursery pics when we get it finished!  Right now I have some Timothy pictures for you and maybe I'll throw one of Nicholas in there too.  Love to everyone!

All Moved In

So it's been forever since my last blog post.  Life has been a little hectic for the Smith family the last month.  We moved from Texas to Oklahoma, stayed with Jonathan's very generous grandparents almost 3 weeks, then last Thursday we closed and moved into our new home.  It's been hectic but well worth it.  We LOVE our new house. Nicholas spends his days running from one end of the house to the other, playing in the sand box, and riding his "motorcycle" around the massive driveway. It's been a blast! We look around every night feeling so blessed that God has been so generous to us.

Tomorrow, I will be 6 months pregnant!  I have to say the second time around has gone by sooo fast.  Only 3 months to go and little Timothy will arrive.  Jonathan and Nicholas put his crib together the other night.  Now Nicholas asks about a million baby questions a day. I think he's getting a little excited about being a big brother.

The first picture is our last family shot taken in our Corpus house.

The next is the happy couple in our new backyard.

Next pic, is Jonathan and Nick at Granny and Papaw White's house.

Then we have Nicholas and his new buddy Brendan Conway.  They are so funny together.  It is "literally" monkey-see monkey-do with those two.

Finally, Nicholas in his sandbox.

Bye Corpus Christi

Today starts our last week in Corpus Christi.  We have lived here a month short of 5 years and have truly been blessed by the experience.  It was the perfect place to begin our marriage and start our family.  It makes me sad to think about leaving the place where Jonathan and I bought our first house, had our first child, watched Nicholas take his first steps, and his first run on the beach, where we found our first church family, and made some of our first life long friends.  We know that God has big plans in store for us in Oklahoma, but we will always look back on our time in Corpus with love and fondness for all the memories we have made and shared with friends.

This will probably be my last blog post for a few weeks.  I will be in between houses and computers. I will post again from Oklahoma when we get settled!  Here is a few pictures of Nicholas from our last trip to the beach.  Love to everyone!

Bluebonnets and Babies

I took Nicholas to the bluebonnet patch by our house yesterday in hopes of getting some cute Easter pictures.  To put it frankly, it was not a success!  Nicholas spent the whole time running around and avoiding the camera. I was so frustrated with him.  But what can you do?  He just wanted to have a good time.

Next Tuesday we go for an ultrasound.  Hopefully, if the baby cooperates, we will know if baby Smith is a boy or girl.  Jonathan says we just hope it's a human (sometimes I don't know why I put up with him)!  LOL!  Anyway, just pray that all goes well and that baby is healthy.  I've still been having some pregnancy related problems and the doctor is hoping this ultrasound will give us some insight into what's going on.  Also, keep praying about the house situation.  We've had lots and lots of lookers but no takers!  Jonathan leaves next weekend to start his new job. So we need to get moving!  We wish everyone a happy Easter and hope we all remember to be thankful this weekend for Jesus' sacrifice for all.  Love to everyone!
